FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are you?
AquaPros is owned & operated by David Birge, a California resident and business owner since 2003.

What is the difference between glass beads and what you use?
Glass beads tend to be more abrasive and can damage the tiles glaze. AquaPors media is formulated specifically for tile, grout, brick, PebbleTec and other surfaces, you will love the results, and it dissolves before it reaches the filter system!

Why not use glass beads? Where do they go; my filters? bottom of the pool? in me?
Glass beads are not very environmentally safe; or for people, pet or your pool equipment.  AquaPros system dissolves in the water and WILL NOT affect water balance.

How long does it take?
An average pool will take 4 - 6 hours.

Who does the work?
AquaPros is owner operated

How long does it last?
It will depend on how well the pool chemicals are maintained and the type of water.

Do you empty the pool?
No, we lower the level of the pool 6" below the waterline tiles using our own pumps.

Do you come back to check your work?
Generally there is no need to return. Should you have any concerns we will be happy to return.

We strive for GREAT customer service, after all, you are our best advertising!

Do I need to be home?
No, we just need access to the pool and a water hook up.

What about kids or pets?
The media is environmentally, people, pet and pool safe.

When can we use the pool again?
Right away. Due to the nature of the process the pool water will be cloudy, but will rapidly clear in 24 hours or 1 - 2 complete cycles of the filtration equipment. But feel free to hop right in.

What is your cleaning agent, where does it come from?
Kieserite. A natural mineral mined in Germany and specially formulated for this process.

Are you insured?
AquaPros carries a professional damage & liability policy.

You work 7 days and no extra charge for weekends?
